Golf Gifts
You can say in golf, the culture is bit…refined.
It shows in gift giving. Though choices for gifts really depend on the gift giver there are choices for golf gifts that are more suitable. And there are those choices for golf gifts that aren’t. That’s why choosing golf gifts should carry a semblance of deliberation, because golf does have its own culture, its own set of mores to follow.
Like for instance if you have to choose an executive golf gift, what would you choose to give? Take note that this is something that can affect your climb up in the executive ladder if there is one. Or it might spell your enterprise for the next promotion. Depending on your worst views about bootlicking, bootlicking is not entirely a bad issue. See it this way: by giving the appropriate present, you are forging a fine business bond on your boss, that you acknowledge the hierarchy (even at face value at least) of the organization, that you respect his aptitude of running the helm. Gifts in business do convey such meaning, and having the best golf gifts, one that he can proudly set showcase on a table stand would also imply job security. Everyone knows job security isn’t a bad thing at all.
For choices of executive golf gifts, you’d want one that you’ll be sure your boss will like. What I suggest is to do a bit of research. Scrounge around for data, inspect his golf clubs. Is his favorite the old Taylor Made 460cc Burner Driver? Maybe the new Nike SasQuatch Sumo could entice him for a driver change. If he is a regular golfer, then almost certainly he’ll stack himself with golf balls on a regular basis. This is another splendid idea for golf gifts. Don’t stop there though. In golf there are customization options for practically any equipment. You can add names, dates, banners and messages to golf balls and golf clubs.
I have seen one idea even; it was a specially made cabinet specialized to hold a number of golf balls. There were holds for stands, supports for golf balls. It turned out that the recipient was an avid golf ball collector. Another idea I’ve seen was a golf driver; a 190cc Callaway Big Bertha. It was a vintage club, circa 1980’s, among the first large head drivers ever released. And it was brand new. The only thing is that, I’m pretty sure that the recipient won’t be using such outmoded driver anymore. And I was right, the father’s day golf gift wasn’t intended to be played. And it came packaged with an elaborately carved wooden stand. My point is that, researching a bit does have its payback. It gives you idea on what to give, not just groping around blindly.
One thing though: all ideas for golf gifts I’ve stated are pretty commonplace now. Such that it’s easy to see proof of it when you purchase second hand balls most especially. If you didn’t give specifications, you’ll see some balls among the package are personalized with banner messages.
If you want some unique golf gift, you can try giving other golf gift ideas that are less treaded, like golf training aids. For training aids there are several. There’s the Golf Dust, a nice training tool to improve golf swing accuracy. This is a golf impact indicator that allows golfers analysis of their swings by marking the contact on the club face. There is the Super Swing Trainer which forces the golfer’s swing to adapt to the trainer until muscle memory of the correct swing is attained.
Golf gifts aren’t that hard. Just do your homework. My best recommendation is sniffing around for an idea of the best golf gift.
