Inspired by the rising popularity of high performance, multi layered golf balls, Odyssey sprang up with a multi layered insert that not only increased the feel, the insert allowed the weight to be displaced to where it is most useful –the perimeter of the putter head. That made the Odyssey White Hot XG a top putter choice that has the best feel and responsiveness (the insert allowed that) and a high MOI (due to the redistribution of weight along the club head’s perimeter).
The insert is made with Odyssey’s Elastomer Core Material, a soft and highly resilient inset. The club head is fashioned with a thin, outer striking surface thus promoting only the firmest contact. It also has a textured impact zone, basically the sweet spot.
